Intermediate and advanced wheel throwing class at Clay Hand Studio. Students learn complex lid techniques, component and altered forms, and throwing tall amongst other techniques.

Improve your skills and master the craft with Barbie in these 4 week sessions. Classes are on Wednesday from 5pm-8pm.

All materials provided.

Private Coaching

Book a one-on-one session with Barbie at her personal studio in North Fresno, Ca. **Or if you live close by she can come to you.

These highly specialized sessions are not designed as a class, and firing and glazing is not typically included.

Sessions are 2 hours and are $45/session. Scheduling is flexible and should be scheduled at least a week before so materials can be arranged for you.

Ages 14+

Examples of focus:

• Throwing very thin walls

• Very narrow and long necked pieces

• Throwing tall and gaining height

• Glaze Chemistry fundamentals

• Faceting and Sodium Silicate techniques

• Single thrown lidded containers

• Double walled forms

• Single thrown goblets and chalices

• Production pottery

• Alternative firing: Raku and pit fire small batch
